Phoenix women finish off weekend sweep with win over Mastodons

The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team's offense hit another gear after halftime to secure their fifth straight win with a 72-46 win over Purdue Fort Wayne on Monday.

 

After the two teams exchanged blows in the first half, the Phoenix outscored the Mastodons 43-24 to stay perfect in the Horizon League. Spurring the blowout was a 11-3 run to close out the third quarter, a hot streak the Phoenix would carry into the fourth quarter, 

 

Maddy Schreiber led the way for the Phoenix with 19 points. Cassie Schiltz followed up Saturday's career high with 10 points and nine assists and Bailey Butler chipped in with nine points. Renna Schwieterman scored12 points and Amellia Bromenschenkel added 11 points in the loss for the Mastodons.
