Girls basketball round-up: Kewaunee posts lone local win

Only one of the area's local teams got to taste victory Thursday night as they head into one of the busiest stretches of the season.

Kewaunee battled its cross-county rival Algoma to a 67-38 win.

Sevastopol fell short in its see-saw affair against Oconto 55-51.

Southern Door lost to NEW Lutheran in front of its home fans 40-36.

Luxemburg-Casco could not turn things around against Wrightstown, losing their game 42-39.

Friday night's games include Gibraltar visiting Oconto (7:30 p.m.), Algoma traveling to Peshtigo (7:30 p.m.), and Sevastopol hosting Sturgeon Bay (7:30 p.m.)
