Gibraltar, Algoma battle after bracket announcement on 105.1 The GOAT Monday

The announcement of the WIAA postseason brackets will not deter the area's girls' basketball teams from trying to finish the regular season on a high note.

In Division 2, #6 Luxemburg-Casco will start on the road at Watertown on February 23rd, setting up a match-up between #2 West De Pere or the winner of Slinger and West Bend West.

In Division 3, #10 Sturgeon Bay will travel to Tomahawk on February 20th with a chance to play Freedom in the regional semi-final on the line.

In Division 4, Kewaunee earned the #1 seed, and they will wait for the winner for Kohler and Howards Grove. #6 Algoma will host Roncalli, and #10 Southern Door will travel to New Holstein in the opening round on February 20th.

In Division 5, #2 Sevastopol will host St. Thomas Aquinas on February 20th with a chance at a Packerland matchup on February 23rd if #10 Gibraltar can get past Niagara on the road.

Before they get there, however, there is still regular season basketball to be had, with Gibraltar hosting Algoma for a 7:30 p.m. tip. Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 7:15 p.m. with the pregame show.

Other 7:30 p.m. tips scheduled for Monday include Sevastopol hosting Oconto and Sturgeon Bay traveling to Kewaunee. Southern Door will play at NEW Lutheran at 6:30 p.m.
