A dual meet win over one of their chief rivals carried extra weight for the Luxemburg-Casco wrestling team, and not just because it clinched their 20th Team State appearance in program history.

The Spartans' 49-20 win over fellow NEC stalwart Freedom marked the 1000th dual meet in the school's history, many of which occurred at the UW Fieldhouse, where they will compete for a state title on March 2nd—the evening started with a 56-16 win over Wittenberg-Birnamwood.
