DCU reflects on successful season

That’s a wrap on the 2023-2024 season. As the Door County United Boys close out the winter sports season, there's a whole lot to celebrate.

Wrapping up the season as an entire team at the D-2 State Championship is the biggest highlight to take from the past 14 weeks.  It isn't often that an entire team finds their way to the state competition, and this accomplishment is due by-in-large to the strong team culture the boys have developed this season.

As we end the season here’s a snapshot of the evening:
-The 200 Medley Relay (Ezra Linnan, Jack Monfils, Luke Filar, Logan Filar) swam a 1:46.26 taking 16th overall. Monfils swam his fastest 50 Breast split, breaking 28 seconds to go a 27.87.

-Monfils placed 9th overall in the 200 IM with a time of 2:00.86 and later followed this performance in the 100 Breast to place 11th with a time of 1:02.17.

As a team, DCU placed 24th out of 32 with a total of 17 points. Monfils brought in 15 total points, while the relay earned an additional 2.

It was a brilliant season and there are so many huge moments to celebrate. In spite of insurmountable challenges, this team proved their strength and fortitude time and time again.
