It's the opening day of practice for the area's softball teams.

Unlike past years, it appears the season may get underway on time thanks to field conditions, even though the first games don't start until March 26th according to the WIAA. Some teams are starting even earlier than that. Here is when those games are scheduled to begin for each team:

Algoma: vs. Reedsville 3/19

Kewaunee: @ Chilton 3/21

Luxemburg-Casco: vs. Fox Valley Lutheran 3/26

Southern Door: @ Chilton 4/2

Sturgeon Bay: vs. Oconto 4/6 (DH)
