The #2 Green Bay Lady Phoenix outscored the #1 Cleveland State Vikings every quarter Tuesday to claim the Horizon League Tournament Championship 64-40 in Indianapolis.
Natalie McNeil scored a career-high 32 points to lead Green Bay to its first NCAA Tournament bid since 2018. She topped the 30-point performance she had against Cleveland State on February 3rd in a road loss to the Vikings. The win snapped the conference champion Vikings’ 11-game winning streak.
The Lady Phoenix took a 32-19 lead into halftime and never let Cleveland State back into the game.
Dominating the boards, Green Bay only allowed the Vikings (29-5) one offensive rebound in the first three quarters.
Green Bay (27-6) will now wait to see who and where they will play next week in the NCAA Tournament on Selection Sunday at 7 p.m.
