Southern Door track heads to Ripon for weekend invitational

The Southern Door track team will take their talents to Ripon for a weekend meet.

 

The Eagles will be greeted by the likes of Wisconsin Lutheran, West Bend West, Stevens Point, Fond du Lac, Neenah, Oshkosh West, West De Pere, Little Chute, Janesville Parker, Verona Area, Ashwaubenon, Freedom, Green Bay Preble, Homestead, Hortonville, Kiel, Monroe, New Holstein, Pacelli, Port Washington, Ripon, Rosholt, Winneconne, Marquette University H.S., Kewaskum, Franklin, Baraboo, and Shawano Community for the showcase meet. The first events begin at 10 a.m.

 

In Thursday's action at the Pam Kjono Invitational hosted by Mantiwoc Lincoln:

  • Kewaunee's Hannah Miller posted two top finishes for her team at the Pam Kjono Invite on Friday. She set a PR of 64 seconds in the 400m run and helped the 4x800m relay take fourth place overall. Wren Kunesh also posted a top five performance by reaching a height of seven feet in the pole vault. 

  • The combination of Lydia Morozov, Elaina Holschuh, Grace Seering, and McKenna Rank proved fruitful for Luxemburg-Casco Friday at Manitowoc Lincoln's Pam Kjono Invite. As a relay, the foursome took home the win in the 4x400m relay to go along with their other accolades during the meet. Holschuh took fourth in the triple jump while Morozov took fourth in the 55m dash and second in the 200m. Seering and Holschuh were part of another top five relay performance while Seering and Rank had similar success in the 55m hurdles and 400m respectively. Outside of that group of athletes, Claire Dechateau took second in the 1600m run. 

  • Gibraltar's McKailey Reisen picked up the majority of the points in the team's appearance at Friday's Pam Kjono Invite in Manitowoc. Reisen won the 55m dash in the 55m hurdles and the high jump to pace the Vikings. Hayden Knudson posted the only other top-10 performance with a personal record in the 200m relay.
