The Kewaunee Storm baseball team came back from Mauston with a win and a loss, beating Spooner Rails 3-2 and Northwestern 5-2.
The Storm opened the game with a single tally in the second inning, with Conor Kilgore scoring. Northwestern would score three unanswered runs before Waylon Delain registered an RBI single in the top of the fifth inning. The Storm would get no closer as Northwestern piled on two more runs in the sixth inning. Brett Paulsen took the loss on the mound for the Storm, allowing three runs on one hit across four innings with four strikeouts and four walks.
In the second game, the Storm needed an extra inning to put away Spooner. The Storm scored one run in the fourth inning on a wild pitch, and Ethan Paplham scored on a sacrifice fly. After Spooner scored in the following inning, it wasn't until the eighth inning that the Storm's Hudson bunted home Paulsen to put the team ahead for good.
