Baseball and softball round-up: Rain threatens Saturday games

Friday's games could be the last ones of the week unless Mother Nature changes her tune on Saturday.

Tied at two after one inning, Luxemburg-Casco's baseball team tacked on the extra runs needed to get past Green Bay Preble Friday night 4-2.

The Luxemburg-Casco softball team extended their winning streak to eight with 4-2 and 9-1 wins against Denmark on Friday.

The Sevastopol Pioneers softball team throttled Oconto in two straight games on Friday, beating them 9-0 and 15-3.

The Sevastopol Pioneers baseball team couldn't scratch across a run in Oconto in their first of two games against the Blue Devils, losing 5-0.

Doubleheaders between Algoma and Kewaunee (11 a.m.) and Peshtigo and Gibraltar (11 a.m.) are scheduled for the baseball diamond and Sturgeon Bay and Southern Door are slated for the softball diamond, but all three are subject to weather. Sturgeon Bay is also scheduled to play in a triangular at Reedsville beginning at 10 a.m.
