Exodus begins from Phoenix men's program?

The domino effect has begun for the Green Bay men's basketball program after the departure of head coach Sundance Wicks.

Horizon League All-Freshman Team performer David Douglas Jr. announced on social media that he would be entering the transfer portal. He specifically cited Wicks' departure as his reason for entering. He did tell Scott Venci that he was not ruling out a return to the Phoenix.

Venci also talked to other members of the Phoenix that had decided to stay. Preston Ruedinger has not decided what he will do. Bennett Basich, who just wrapped up his high school career, has indicated he will stay.

In the wake of the change, athletic director Josh Moon said he is hard at work and hopes to have the decision made in the coming weeks.
