The road to Madison began for many of the area high school softball teams as four of the five local teams advanced to the State Tournament regional final on Thursday.

In Division 5, the Sevastopol Pioneers shutout NEW Lutheran/Providence Blazers 10-0 in five innings on U102.1 in Institute.

The Algoma Wolves beat the Roncalli Jets 8-1 at home in Division 4 on 104.1 WRLU as pitcher Macie Zimmerman struck out 17 batters.

In Division 3, Kewaunee Storm was victorious 9-4 winners over Chilton Tigers.

The Valders Vikings ended the Southern Door Eagles’ season with a 6-5.

In Division 2, Luxemburg-Casco shutout Marinette 4-0 and will face Seymour at home on Thursday.
