The Institute Cubs will look for the first win of the season on Friday night when they play at home under the lights against the Egg Harbor Indians.
The Indians barraged the Mets with 11 runs combined in the sixth and seventh innings as they went on to win 13-8 against Maplewood. The offensive highlights in those innings included a Riley Spetz two-run homer in the sixth and a three-run dinger from Cody Giesseman in the seventh.
The Cubs fell to the Sister Bay Bays 8-1 in their last matchup. The score would be 7-0 before the Cubs got on the board, with Jaeger Brusky driving in a run on a double play in the sixth inning. Frankie Ash, Kyle Ploor, and Josh Pflieger registered hits for the Cubs.
