The Green Bay Rockers had two wins on the opposite side of the spectrum on Thursday, winning in walk-off fashion 6-5 and in a blow-out 15-7 over the Minnesota Mud Puppies.
In game one, the Rockers found themselves down 5-1 after three innings to the Mud Puppies, but three runs in the fourth inning narrowed the deficit to one run. It would stay that way until the ninth inning when Sam Miller slugged a two-run homer over the right field wall to give the Rockers. In addition to Miller, Mateo Matthews and Mason Eckelman also homered for the Rockers.
In game two, the Rockers again found themselves down 5-1 after the Mud Puppies' top of the third inning. The Rockers would narrow that lead to 5-3 before they put up five runs in the fifth inning. They would add more insurance runs late, with four in the seventh and three more in the eighth. Luke Moeller slapped two doubles as he went 4-5 with five RBI. Mulivai Levu homered as one of four players with two RBI in the sweep-clinching win.
