The Green Bay Rockers stumbled for the second straight day in Wausau on Monday, this time losing 12-5 to the host Woodchucks.
This time, it was a seven-run fifth inning that did in the Rockers, sucking the momentum away after tying the game at 3-3. The Rockers would match the Woodchucks runs with runs scored from that point on with single tallies in the sixth and ninth innings.
Taylor Shultz went 3-4 with two runs scored and another batted in to lead the Rockers. Sam Miller made his lone hit count when he hit a home run for his second RBI of the game. Connor Nolen suffered his first loss of the season for the Rockers, giving up seven runs (7 ER) on three hits and four walks across 2/3 of an inning.
