Over the next few years, the Canadian National Team for hockey will have the fingerprints of a former Green Bay Gamblers head coach.
Hockey Canada announced earlier this week that former Gamblers boss and current Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper will lead the Canadian national team for the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off and the 2026 Winter Olympics.
After leading the Gamblers to a Clark Cup championship, the British Columbia native worked his way up the coaching chain. At 12 years, he is now the longest-tenured head coach in the NHL. His tenure with the Tampa Bay Lightning includes two Stanley Cup wins.
