The Green Bay Rockers had a rough day in the state capital on Thursday, losing a pair of games to the Madison Mallards 9-1 and 4-3.
In game one, the Mallards were up 5-0 before the Rockers tallied a run with a Lane Allen homer. The Mallards would answer with two consecutive innings with at least two runs, something they accomplished four times in the seven-inning contest. Allen and Sam Miller each had two hits in the loss for the Rockers.
In game two, the Rockers rallied from three down to tie the game in the fifth inning, only to have the Mallards retake the lead in sixth. Allen hit his second homer of the day in the fourth inning and Nick Harms went yard in the fifth to drive in the runs for the Rockers.
