Algoma's Crescent Beach will be the site of two separate volleyball tournaments next month as a part of the community's Shanty Days Celebration.

On August 10th, the 1th Annual Shanty Days "Battle on the Beach" Volleyball Tournament will take place with up to 16 teams participating. The Pool Play Round-Robin style tournament sets up the bracket-style playoff tournament, guranteeing each team at least seven matches. On August 11th, the kids will take over the courts for a juniors' version of the Battle on the Beach.
