Gibraltar's home opener against Algoma will be much more than a football game when the two teams take the field in Fish Creek.
The game will serve as a benefit for the family of Braden Sitte, who graduated from Gibraltar in 2024 and was diagnosed with Burkitt's lymphoma weeks before he was to join his new football teammates at UW-LaCrosse.
Proceeds from the concessions, silent auction, raffle baskets, bake sale, and other activities will support his ongoing treatments and associated costs. The activities begin at 6:30 p.m., with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
