The Southern Door cross country team heads south Thursday afternoon when they compete at an invitational hosted by Chilton.

Southern Door runner Ben Grota was the top local finisher in last Thursday's 33-team De Pere Invitational held on the campus of UW-Green Bay. He covered the 5K course in 17:49, which was good for 28th place overall. Emma Bousley paced the girls' squad with a time of 21:53 on the 5K course, putting her in the top 40 overall. 

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Sheboygan Lutheran, New London, Denmark, and Wrightstown are also scheduled to compete when the first races begin at 4 p.m.
