Local teams shined on the rolling hills of the Bob Burzynski (Valders) CC Invitational on Thursday.
For Luxemburg-Casco, the boys took second place out of 11 teams, anchored by an individual win for Kyan Lynts, who covered the 5K course in 17:38. The girls took third, thanks in part to Claire Duchateau, who covered the route in 20:43 to come in second. The teams combined to win eight medals for runners, finishing in the Top 20. In addition, the Spartans' JV teams won their divisions.
As for Sturgeon Bay, the boy's team took 11th place, with Luke Selle leading the way with a 56th-place finish and a time of 22:46. Delaney Skiba paced the girls' squad to a seventh-place finish as she took 12th overall with a time of 23: 02.
