Brewers down Pirates

With a chance to still catch the Dodgers and the Phillies for the top two slots in the National League, the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Pittsburg Pirates 7-2 on Tuesday night.

Willy Adames stole his 20th base of the season, and he and Jackson Chhourio became the first Brewer teammates to have 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in a single season.

Adames had two hits and Joey Ortiz had three RBIs to lead Milwaukee to the victory.

Tobias Myers pitched four innings and gave up two runs for the Brewers with Hoby Milner picking up the win pitching a scoreless fifth inning.

Milwaukee's bullpen was stellar again allowing just four hits and no runs in five innings.

The Brewers trail the Philadelphia Phillies by 2.5 games and the L.A. Dodgers by 3 games after they both lost on Tuesday.

Milwaukee will play Pittsburg in game two of the series with a 5:40 p.m. first pitch.
