Packers' comeback comes up short vs. Vikings

A 28-0 hole was too much for the Green Bay Packers to climb out of on Sunday, eventually losing to the Minnesota Vikings 31-29.

By the time the Packers cracked the scoreboard with a late touchdown pass from Jordan Love to Jayden Reed in the closing seconds of the first half, Sam Darnold had thrown threw three touchdown passes for the Vikings, Jordan Addison was a part of two touchdowns in his return to the lineup, and Brayden Narveson missed two field goals.

A scoreless third quarter set the stage for a fourth quarter that saw the Packers outscore the Vikings 22-3 thanks to three touchdown passes from Love, two of which went to Dontayvion WIcks. The missed field goals came back to hurt the Packers as a Daniel Whelan attempt at an onside kick was easily caught, cueing the victory formation for the Vikings.

Love threw for 389 yards and four touchdowns in his return to the line up, but his three interceptions proved fatal in the loss. He will likely get a chance to right those wrongs in Los Angeles next Sunday at 3:25 p.m. when the Packers play against the Rams.
