Southern Door, Gibraltar head to separate cross country invitationals

Two Door County cross country teams will go their separate ways for invitationals on Thursday.

 

Gibraltar travels to Brillion for its meet against the host school, Hilbert, Hortonville, Howards Grove, Kaukauna, Manitowoc Lincoln, Mishicot, Oostburg, Roncalli, St. Ignatius - Chesterton Academy, St. Mary Catholic, Valders, and Winneconne. The first races begin at 4 p.m. at Deer Run Golf Course.

 

Southern Door visits Seymour for its invitational. The Eagles will face the host school, Appleton North, Oshkosh North, Menasha, Oshkosh West, Little Chute, Fox Valley Lutheran, Gillett, Green Bay East, Green Bay Preble, Green Bay Southwest, Green Bay West, Marathon, Peshtigo, Notre Dame Academy, New London, Marinette, and Denmark. The race times are Boys JV at 4:00 p.m., Girls Varsity at 4:30 p.m.,  Boys Varsity at 5:00 p.m., and Girls JV at 5:30 p.m.

 

The Luxemburg-Casco cross country team will host its Russ Fameree Invitational on Friday. The Spartans will welcome Ashwaubenon, Chilton, Coleman, Freedom, Green Bay/New Lutheran/Providence Academy, Kewaunee, Kiel, Manitowoc Lutheran, NEWCHAA (Northeast Wisconsin Christian Homeschoolers Athletic Associaton), Oconto, Oconto Falls, Oneida Nation, Reedsville, Sevastopol, Sheboygan Lutheran, Southern Door, Sturgeon Bay, Suring, Two Rivers, and Wrightstown to Northbrook Country Club for the 5K race.  The race schedule is as follows:

3:45 Middle School Boys followed by Middle School Girls 3 minutes later

4:05 Varsity Girls

4:40 Varsity Boys

5:15 J.V. Boys and Girls

5:55 Coaches and Alumni Run 

6:00 Awards
