While some teams put some of the final touches of the regular season on Thursday, the area's soccer teams now know their fate for the upcoming WIAA tournament.
The Sturgeon Bay Clippers soccer team finished off their opportunities this time around against Providence Academy, winning the contest 6-0 at Clark Field. They will have a short turnaround as the will play at Hortonville Friday at 4:15 p.m.The Clippers did learn their fate for the WIAA Division 4 Tournament earlier this week, earning the #2 seed behind top-ranked Kiel. They will host the winner of New Holstein and Gresham/Bowler on October 24th.
No scores were shared from the other scheduled contests on Thursday.
As for the tournament, Gibraltar/Sevastopol will host Algoma on October 24th and Kewaunee will welcome Peshtigo for a match on October 22nd to see who gets to face top-seeded Kiel. Luxemburg-Casco's placement has not been announced.
