Kewaunee's Miller, L-C's Lynts top local runners at Fameree Invitational

The area's cross-country teams shined among some of the strongest in the region on Friday during the Russ Fameree Invitational, hosted by Luxemburg-Casco at Northbrook Country Club. 

 

On the girls' side, Kewaunee's Hannah Miller was the top finisher at 19:29 on the 5K course. Claire DuChateau (19:53.87, Luxemburg-Casco) finished in third overall, Emma Bousley (21:02.12, Southern Door) took 11th, Delaney Skiba (22:14.27, Sturgeon Bay) came in 29th, Naomi Rikkola (23:37.56, Sevastopol) took 49th as the top runners for their respective schools.

For the boys, Luxemburg-Casco's Kyan Lynts was the top local finisher as he came in under 17 minutes (16:55) to come in third place overall. Lucas Conard (18:08.02, Southern Door) finished in 29th, Paxton Linnan (20:39.64, Sevastopol) took 84th, Jaylon Mason (21:16.42, Kewaunee) took 91st, and Luke Selle (21:54.66, Sturgeon Bay) finished in 98th to lead their respective schools.

Teamwise, the Kewaunee girls won the small school division. Luxemburg-Casco was the best performing school overall, finishing in fourth for the boys and second for the girls.
