The Door County United (DCU) Girls High School Swim Team remains undefeated in the Bay Conference with their varsity win over New London High School. The total score was 121-49. DCU took first place in each evening varsity event. Sophomore Shaeffer Rass (SEV) had a phenomenal meet, including a second-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley with a time that was five seconds faster than her best time overall. Senior swimmer Anika Steinbach (SBHS) was a consistent scorer in last night's meet, with her fourth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly.
She also made the best time in both events, dropping two seconds in the 200-yard freestyle. Junior varsity swimmers put up a good fight and showed great determination. Freshman Maria Wienke (SBHS) dropped 15 seconds in her 200-yard freestyle, and sophomore Kylie Sikorsky (SEV) dropped nine seconds in her 100-yard backstroke. The team will travel to Seymour High School on Thursday, October 16th, for their next conference dual.
