DCU swim team remains undefeated after win

The Door County United (DCU) Girls High School Swim Team remains undefeated in the Bay Conference with their varsity win over New London High School. The total score was 121-49. DCU took first place in each evening varsity event. Sophomore Shaeffer Rass (SEV) had a phenomenal meet, including a second-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley with a time that was five seconds faster than her best time overall. Senior swimmer Anika Steinbach (SBHS) was a consistent scorer in last night's meet, with her fourth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly.
She also made the best time in both events, dropping two seconds in the 200-yard freestyle. Junior varsity swimmers put up a good fight and showed great determination. Freshman Maria Wienke (SBHS) dropped 15 seconds in her 200-yard freestyle, and sophomore Kylie Sikorsky (SEV) dropped nine seconds in her 100-yard backstroke. The team will travel to Seymour High School on Thursday, October 16th, for their next conference dual.
