The area's cross country teams take their step towards the state cross country meet in Wisconsin Rapids this weekend when they head to their respective sectional sites.
Luxemburg-Casco and Sturgeon Bay head to Kiel to face Chilton, Denmark, Fox Valley Lutheran, Freedom, Kiel, Little Chute, Marinette, Peshtigo, Plymouth, Sheboygan Falls, Two Rivers and Wrightstown. The Girls 5K Race will start at 3:30 p.m., while the Boys 5K Race will begin at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
Southern Door, Gibraltar, Sevastopol, Algoma, and Kewaunee will wait the extra day to compete in the regional meet hosted by Manitowoc Lutheran. Brillion, Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran, Hilbert, Iola-Scandinavia, Lourdes Academy, Manawa, Mishicot, Omro, Oneida Nation, Providence Academy (Green Bay), Reedsville, Roncalli, Rosholt, Shiocton, St. Mary Catholic, Valders, Valley Christian, and Weyauwega Fremont will also compete in the meet that begins at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Meadow Links Golf Course.
