Kewaunee's Hannah Miller shined on the state's biggest stage on Saturday as her team and four other runners from Luxemburg-Casco and Southern Door competed in the WIAA Cross Country State Championships in Wisconsin Rapids.
In the Division 3 girls race, Miller led the 12th place Kewaunee Storm with 7th place finish, finishing the 5K course in 19:09. All five scoring runners for the Storm finished in under 25 minutes.
In the Division 3 boys race, Southern Door's Ben Grota cracked the Top 60 with a time of 17:44. His teammate, Lucas Conard, broke 18 minutes to come in 65th place with a time of 17:58.
In the Division 2 boys race, Luxemburg-Casco's Kyan Lynts took 38th place with a time just under 17 minutes at 16:59. His teammate, Claire DuChateau, took 47th place overall with a time of 20:21.
