Phoenix men battle Buckeyes

The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team will play their last game before Thanksgiving on Monday when they face the Ohio State Buckeyes.

The Phoenix's road trip got off on the wrong foot on Friday when they could not

catch up with the Evansville Purple Aces in a 98-81 defeat. The host Purple Aces shot nearly 60 percent from the field and 43 percent from behind the arc in the rout. The Phoenix could not compete with the Purple Aces' height either, getting outscored 52-30 in the paint. Anthony Roy had another strong outing with a game-high 31 points as he battled foul trouble for most of the night. Marcus Hall added 17 points and Jeremiah Johnson chipped in 11 points in the loss.

The Buckeyes humbled Evansville 80-30 in their matchup before the Phoenix had a chance to play them. They played the Phoenix's next opponent, Campbell, on Friday and registered a 104-60 victory. Six players reached 11 points or more in the contest, including 23 points by John Mobley, Jr.

Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
