Gamblers cut Steel on Thanksgiving Eve

A three-goal third period iced the game away for the Green Bay Gamblers on Thanksgiving Eve in a 5-1 victory over the Chicago Steel.

The two teams traded goals in the first period with the Gamblers' Cruz Martin and the Steel's Ashton Schultz matching each other's efforts. Will Zellers' go-ahead goal in the second period provided the Gamblers with momentum heading into the third period before William Samuelsson, Anthony Cardilli, and Vasily Zelenov put the game further out of reach. Gavin Moffatt had a light night in net, stopping 17 of the only 18 shots the Steel registered in the contest.

The Gamblers return to the ice on Friday to face the Tri-City Storm.
