The Green Bay Phoenix basketball teams will go in opposite directions on Saturday for their Horizon League matchups on Saturday.
The Phoenix men return to the Resch Center for a 2 p.m. tip against Cleveland State. They led by six points at the break, but a five-plus minute scoring drought paired with a 14-0 run by IU-Indianapolis led to an 84-75 defeat. Both teams were streaky in the first half, with the Phoenix answering a 10-0 Jaguars run with one of their own. Anthony Roy again led the way with 34 points, with Foster Wonders adding 14 and Marcus Hall chipping in with another 11.
The Phoenix women head to Indiana but will stop in Fort Wayne for their 1 p.m. matchup against the Mastodons. They outscored the Jaguars 22-3 in the first quarter to a 78-56 win. The Phoenix hit nine three-pointers in the contest, with Luxemburg-Casco alum Cassie Schiltz knocking down four en route to a 12-point game. She was one of five players to reach double-figures, led by Maddy Schreiber's 16 points.
