The Sevastopol, Algoma and Kewaunee girls basketball teams provided the bright spots in the area's action on Monday night.

The Algoma girls basketball team continued their hot start to the season, beating Oconto 66-45.

The Sevastopol girls basketball team nearly got 30 points from Naomi Rikkola in a 63-37 win over 54235 rival Sturgeon Bay on Monday night.

Kewaunee blistered NEW Lutheran 72-22. 

The Gibraltar girls basketball teams found themselves down 25-12 at the break and could never catch back up in a 61-32 loss to Oconto Monday night.

Southern Door was doubled up by Oconto Falls 66-33. They will try again against Mishicot on the road at 6:45 p.m.

Also playing on Tuesday night, Luxemburg-Casco hits the road to play a non-conference game against Ashwaubenon (7 p.m.).
