The Green Bay Packers are ready to welcome more events to Lambeau Field after finishing a third locker room at the facility this month.
Green Bay media outlets got a chance to tour the new 8,500-square-foot space on Monday, which has 90 locker stalls, shower stalls, and more to entice more college football games and professional soccer matches to Lambeau Field. The Packers haven't hosted a non-team event at Lambeau Field since Manchester City and Bayern Munich played an exhibition in 2022.
The tour comes as the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that the Green Bay/Brown County Professional Football Stadium District called for the city and the Packers to reopen negotiations for a new stadium lease. According to Richard Ryman, the city called off talks in January after it rejected proposals by the Packers to extend the lease beyond 2032. They said it included items not included in previous discussions and would cost the city money in the long run. The Packers are withholding other improvements to Lambeau Field until a new lease agreement is reached.
