Phoenix, Panthers exchange blowouts

Both rivalry games were blowouts as the road team picked up wins in the I-43 Battle between Green Bay and Milwaukee's basketball teams.

In Milwaukee, the Phoenix women shot 52 percent from the field and 50 percent from behind the arc as they downed the Panthers 86-53. A back-and-forth affair in the opening half got out of hand in the third quarter when the Phoenix outscored the Panthers 31-11. Three players registered double figures, led by 20 points from Maddy Schreiber.

Things did not go as well at the Resch Center as the Phoenix men lost to the Panthers 88-67. After being down by eight at the break, the Phoenix got the deficit down to three before the Panthers went on a 26-6 run that ended any thoughts of a comeback. Anthony Roy marked his return to the lineup with 20 points while Marcus Hall added 18 points in the defeat.
