The Green Bay Gamblers will use a weekend set against the Madison Capitols to wash the taste out of their mouth from their 6-5 New Year's Eve loss to Cedar Rapids.
Egor Shilov, Lukas Peterson, and David Green scored in the first seven minutes of their game against the Rough Riders on Tuesday, with Shilov adding another score to make 4-1 going into the third period. The Rough Riders would equal the feat in the third period, scoring four times in seven minutes. Aidan Park would tie things up, but Amine Hajibi's second goal of the period gave the visitors the win. Michael Manzi took the loss for the Gamblers as he gave up all five Rough Riders goals in the third period on 12 shots faced.
The Gamblers will host the Capitols for a 7:05 p.m. puck drop at the Resch Center before traveling to Madison for a 7:05 p.m. affair on Saturday.
