The Algoma Wolves girls basketball team will waste no time trying to get the taste of Saturday's loss out of their mouth when they host Mishicot on Monday night.
Kewaunee's defense clamped down on the Wolves on Saturday afternoon, leading to a 66-33 win to take control of the Packerland Conference. No Wolves cracked double figures in the contest, with Sierra Slaby's eight points and Bristol Schmidt's six points leading the way in the loss.
The Indians have rebounded from a 0-5 start to get their record to 5-7 overall thanks to a three-game winning streak heading into Monday. Kensi Rosenow scored 25 points, and Karsyn Krause posted 20 points and 16 rebounds in the Indians' 58-47 win over Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah in their last game.
