The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team returns home riding a six-game winning streak to the Kress Events Center when they face Detroit Mercy on Thursday.
In their last game, the Phoenix women nearly doubled their lead in the third quarter to a 78-48 rout of Robert Morris. Natalie McNeal and Cassie Schiltz had dueling double-doubles, with McNeal scoring a team-high 22 points and grabbing 18 rebounds, while the L-C alum Schiltz registered 20 points and 10 rebounds in the Phoenix's sixth straight win. The Phoenix dominated in the paint with a 47-24 edge in rebounding and a 36-20 advantage in scoring. A win would mark the 1,100th in program history.
The Titans are off to a great start, with an 11-4 record and a 5-2 conference mark. The team's 67-59 win over in-state rival Oakland last weekend snapped a two-game skid.
Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
