Door County's two wrestling teams head outside the area for tournaments on Saturday.
Southern Door will face a familiar foe in Peshtigo in their tournament beginning at 9:30 a.m. Coleman, Crivitz, Gillett/Suring, Hortonville, Laona-Wabeno, Marinette, Menominee (MI), Mishicot, Oconto Falls, Oostburg, Oshkosh West, and Wausau East will also be competing.
Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol girls wrestling team travels west to Wausau West for a tournament featuring Wisconsin Lutheran, Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau, New Richmond, Eau Claire Memorial, Muskego, Watertown, Wausau East, Milton, West Salem, Ashland, Marshfield, Spencer, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln, Holmen, Kimberly, Neenah, Menasha, Oshkosh West, Antigo, DC Everest, Mosinee, Lodi, Sauk Prairie, McDonell Central Catholic, Waukesha West, Pulaski, Edgar, Oregon, DeForest, Abbotsford, Bonduel, Brillion, Brown Deer, Clintonville, Fennimore, Fort Atkinson, Fox Valley Lutheran, Freedom, Grafton, Green Bay West, Hortonville, Lena/STAA, Manawa, Lomira, Mineral Point, Monona Grove, Monroe, Mukwonago, New Holstein, Oconto Falls, Peshtigo, Regis, Saint Croix Central, Turner, Two Rivers, Laona-Wabeno, Waterloo, Waunakee, Winneconne, Wittenberg-Birnamwood, Crandon, Manitowoc Lincoln, New London, North Crawford/Seneca, Medford, Xavier, Sheboygan North, Bay Port, Marinette, Waupun, Eau Claire North, Poynette, and Shawano Community. The first matches begin at 9 a.m.
Kewaunee's Mitchell Boeder officially made his mark on the program as he recorded his 100th win in Lena on Friday. The Storm wrestled Lena, D.C. Everest, and Bonduel as a part of the quadrangular meet. Results were not made immediately available as of 11:30 p.m. Friday.
