Several area wrestlers took advantage of a cold Saturday to head to tournaments.

Four Southern Door wrestlers finished in the top four in their weight brackets at the Peshtigo Invitational on Saturday. Chance Dekeyser pinned his way to a title at 132 pounds while Ethan Alexander just missed his own trip to the top of the podium with a 3-2 day at 138 pounds. Owen Larios Amezquita (106 lbs) and Clark LeFevre  (120 lbs) each ended their day in fourth place. 

Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol girls wrestlers picked up valuable experience at Saturday's Warrior Women`s Challenge hosted by Wausau West. Lanie Brauer won two matches in a tough 165 Gold bracket to take eighth place overall. Izzy Andreae won three of her four contested matches to take third overall in the 152 pound Silver Bracket.
