Seven local youth will be advancing to the District 4 finals of the state Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship after winning the Council Level competition in Sturgeon Bay on Saturday morning.
Over a dozen Boys and girls, nine to 13 years old, from Door and Kewaunee counties participated at St. John Bosco Gymnasium in the annual contest sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council 2478.
The winners will now advance to the District competition, which will be held on Saturday, February 15, at Holy Rosary School in Kewaunee. Saturday’s winners are listed below with their respective scores after shooting 15 free throws.
NIne-year-old Boys: Dalton Smith 9
Ten-year-old Boys: David Legler 11
11-year-old Boys: Nathan Legler 14
12-year-old Boys: Ethan Pursley 7
13-year-old Boys: Aiden Delfosse 8
Ten-year-old Girls: Aubri Delfosse 11
12-year-old Girls: Easton Piesler 10
