The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team blew a double-digit lead for the second straight game as they lost their 15th consecutive contest Sunday afternoon at the Resch Center, this time a 73-69 decision to Youngstown State.
The Phoenix ended the half strong with a 7-0 run that helped them take a two-point lead into the locker room. They carried that momentum into the second half, using an 8-1 run to give them a nine-point lead. The advantage would stretch out to 11 before the Penguins went on a 10-2 run that forced the two teams to trade buckets the rest of the way.
New addition Yonatan Levy paced the Phoenix with a career-high 18 points. Ryan Wade had his own season-high 14 points off the bench, while Jeremiah Johnson added 12 points. Preston Ruedinger chipped in with 10 points and four assists.
