The Green Bay Phoenix basketball teams will play in a pair of road contests on Saturday as the Horizon League slate rolls along.
The Phoenix women return to action on Saturday when they face Northern Kentucky at noon after beating Wright State 75-62 on Thursday. Jasmine Kondrakiewicz caused the Raiders' defense to fit inside as she scored 31 points, and Natalie McNeal registered a double-double for the Phoenix with 15 points and 12 rebounds. The Phoenix outrebounded the Raiders 41-27, nearly duplicating their effort against the same team when the two squads faced each other in Green Bay.
The Phoenix men are looking to snap a 16-game losing streak when they play Cleveland State on Saturday at 2 p.m. They were down by over 20 points midway through the second half before trimming it to an 86-77 defeat to Indiana University-Indianapolis at the Resch Center. Jeremiah Johnson led the way with 18 points. Marcus Hall and Mac Wrecke scored 12 points a piece with Preston Ruedinger and Ryan Wade each adding 11 points.
