The Algoma Wolves girls basketball team outscored Oneida Nation 35-19 in the second half to earn the 58-40 win on Saturday afternoon.
The two teams played tight in the first half, with the Wolves taking just a two-point lead into the break. Claire Gerdmann led the Wolves' attack in the second half, scoring 10 of her team-high 14 points after the break. Brooke Mattson hit three three-pointers en route to a 13-point afternoon, while Therese Gerdmann chipped in eight points. Mariah Cloud paced the Thunderhawks with 16 points.
