United's Perlman follows in parents' footsteps

While playing collegiate soccer will be a new experience for Gibraltar/Sevastopol soccer player Trey Perlman, being a part of the Grinnell College experience will not be.

Perlman made it official last week when he signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his career as a member of the Pioneers. A four year varsity letterman, Perlman was a 2024 Packerland All-Conference First Team honoree, leading United with nine goals on the season. After visiting several schools, Perlman opted to head west to Iowa to Grinnell where his parents attended school. Perlman said it means a lot to follow in their academic footsteps.

Last year, the Pioneers went 8-6-5 before bowing out to Lake Forest College in its opening match of the 2024 Midwest Conference Men's Soccer Tournament.
