It is tournaments the rest of the way for area wrestlers after two dual meets took place on Thursday.

The Kewaunee Storm could only muster two wins across nine contested matches Thursday night as they lost to Peshtigo 59-18 in their Packerland Conference wrestling season finale.

Things could have not been closer against two state powers on Thursday night as Luxemburg-Casco and Coleman wrestled to a 35-35 tie. According to Trackwrestling, the Cougars won on a tiebreaker due to the Spartans forfeiting one weight class.

On Friday, Southern Door and Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol will travel to a girls tournament in Shawano featuring Kimberly, Fond du Lac, Neenah, Oshkosh West, Suring, West De Pere, Pulaski, Seymour, Bonduel, Chilton, Clintonville, De Pere, Fox Valley Lutheran, Freedom, Green Bay Preble, Green Bay West, Hortonville, Lena, Mishicot, Oconto Falls, Peshtigo, Rosholt, Sheboygan South, Shiocton, Two Rivers, Waupaca, Wautoma, Winneconne, Wittenberg-Birnamwood, Crandon, Manitowoc Lincoln, New London, Xavier, Sheboygan North, Bay Port, Weyauwega Fremont, Marinette, and Wrightstown. The weigh-ins begin at 4:00 P.M. with the gates opening to spectators at 4:30 P.M. and wrestling starting at 5:00 P.M.
