Several wrestlers began the month of February with extra hardware at area tournaments on Saturday.
Six Luxemburg-Casco wrestlers earned their way onto the podium at Saturday's Pulaski Invitational. Led by Carson Neubert's championship at 126 pounds, the Spartans took 9th place as a team with 109 points. Blakelee Bastien narrowly missed his own championship at 144 pounds, finishing second. Carson Blohowiak (120 lbs, 4th), Joseph Jeanquart (132 lbs, 3rd), Mason Boulanger (150 lbs, 6th), and Logan Ellwanger (165 lbs, 8th) made their way onto the podium.
Kewaunee's Mitchell Boeder pinned his way to another title on Saturday, this time coming at the Deerfield Scramble. Boeder never entered the second period in any of his matches, including his pin of Danny Ellifson (Jefferson) in the championship round. Sam Kraynik was the only other Storm wrestler to finish in the top five, taking fourth place with win in his first and fifth matches of the day.
