Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball star Anthony Roy will finish his collegiate basketball career elsewhere after he entered the transfer portal this week.
At over 25 points per game, Roy was the leading scorer on the team before a leg injury derailed his lone season in Green Bay. The team spiraled into a 20-plus game losing streak following his injury. He spent time at San Francisco and New Mexico State along with being the NAIA Player of the Year prior to his stint with the Phoenix will have one year of college eligibility left.
After being relatively silent for his other transfer portal entrants, head coach Doug Gottlieb was encouraging following Roy's entrance, taking to social media to wish him success in the future and laud him for earning a degree while on campus.
