The Packerland Conference golf teams will try to squeeze in a round this afternoon in Marinette when the teams congregate for their second meet of the season.
Gibraltar, Kewaunee, NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy, Oconto, Sevastopol, Southern Door, and Sturgeon Bay will meet at Little River Country Club for a 4 p.m.tee time.
The wait was worth it for the Sturgeon Bay golf team as they won the first Packerland Conference Golf Meet of the year earlier this month at Cherry Hills Golf Course in Sturgeon Bay. Tre Wienke, Luke Selle, and Owen Pichette of Sturgeon Bay came in fourth, fifth, and sixth place overall to secure the win by 17 strokes over second-place Oconto and 28 strokes over third-place Kewaunee. Oconto's Carter Kock won the meet with a score of 39.
