Three choices in, and the Green Bay Packers have invested it all on the offensive side of the ball.
The Green Bay Packers invested a second-round pick in protecting Jordan Love on Friday night, selecting North Carolina State OT Anthony Belton. A third-team All-ACC selection in 2023, Belton brings size to the line at 6'6" and more than 330 pounds. According to the Packers, Belton never gave up more than four sacks a season in his collegiate career, despite averaging more than 400 pass blocking downs a season. Barring a trade, the Packers will make their next selection in the third round where they hold the 23rd pick (87th overall).
The Green Bay Packers continued to address the offense on Friday night, drafting WR Savion Williams from TCU. Williams is a two-time All-Big 12 Honorable Mention selection from 2023 and 2024. Last season, he started 12 games and scored six touchdowns through the air and ran another six on the ground, according to NFL.com. He is the second wide receiver selected by the Packers in this draft, joining first round draft choice Matthew Golden of Texas.
